The No-Salt Pantry List
Half the battle on a no-salt diet is just knowing things exist. A pickle spear with zero sodium. A relish that doesn't eat your whole day. These are the no-salt and low-sodium products I actually buy, with the sodium off the real label and where I found them. I add to this list every time I find something new — check your own label too, because brands change recipes.
SEASONINGS
Dash salt-free seasoning blends — the whole line — 0mg sodium: Original, Garlic & Herb, Lemon Pepper, Taco, Everything But the Salt, Southwest Chipotle, and the rest. Regular grocery stores.
Dash Salt-Free Lemon Pepper Seasoning Blend — 0mg sodium. 2.5 oz bottle, grocery stores (about $4; Healthy Heart Market too).
Dash Salt-Free Taco Seasoning Mix — 0mg sodium. Caution: "less sodium" packets are not the same — McCormick's 30% Less Sodium taco packet still runs about 330mg a serving.
Tony Chachere's No Salt Seasoning Blend — 0mg sodium AND 0mg potassium per ¼ tsp. 5 oz canister, $4.97 at Walmart; also Amazon and other grocery stores. Not potassium-chloride based, so it works for readers who restrict potassium too. First ingredient is brown sugar; no MSG. Twin-canister warning: the regular Tony Chachere's Original Creole Seasoning is a salt-first blend — the canister has to say NO SALT.
Goodman's Low Sodium Onion Soup & Dip Mix — 95mg sodium per serving (¼ bag; Lipton's runs ~610mg+). Cautions: Goodman's also sells a FULL-sodium version — the box has to say Low Sodium; and this one's salt substitute is potassium chloride — potassium 877mg a serving, a hard stop for readers who restrict potassium. Contains MSG. Grocery stores and Amazon (3-pack).
Marshall's Creek Spices — the no-salt line. No-salt blends in 11 oz jars and refill pouches: steak rubs (Aussie/Outback style, Canadian), Ranch Dressing blend, Bay seasoning, Blackening, Pizza, Pot Roast, Spaghetti, Sazón with annatto, Soul seasoning, fish seasoning. Amazon, direct from Marshall's Creek, some stores. Reader caution: the brand sells salted versions too — the jar has to say "No Salt."
MySALT salt substitutes & sodium-free mixes (mysaltsub.com and Amazon). Shakers $10.95: Original, Butter, Garlic, Herb Garden, Onion, Pizza, plus sodium-free Seasoned Salt, Cajun, Caesar. Sodium-free packet mixes $3.49: Ranch Dressing, Garden Italian, Green Goddess, Taco, Chili, Sloppy Joe, Spaghetti Sauce. The original line is potassium-chloride based. They also run a Low Potassium set for readers who can't do KCl. Avoid their "My SUPER SALT" line entirely — it still contains real salt; warning only, never a recommendation.
NoSalt Original Sodium-Free Salt Alternative — 0mg sodium per ¼ tsp; potassium 640mg per serving (KCl-based). Walmart, grocery stores, Amazon.
Knorr Zero Salt Bouillon — Beef, Chicken, and Roasted Garlic — 0mg sodium per tsp, all three flavors. Potassium 240–300mg per tsp (KCl-based). Grocery stores (Kroger family, H-E-B) and Amazon; not reliably at Walmart.
McCormick Salt-Free Seasoning Blends — 0mg sodium per ¼ tsp. The current line is exactly four: Garlic and Herb, Onion and Herb, Roasted Garlic and Bell Pepper, Vegetable. Walmart, Target, grocery stores, Amazon.
BROTHS
Swanson Unsalted Chicken Broth — 35mg sodium per cup (32 oz carton; also only 30mg potassium per cup). Regular canned broth runs about 860mg a cup.
Swanson Unsalted Beef Stock — 35mg sodium per cup (32 oz carton, 70mg potassium per cup). Watch the word: Swanson's Unsalted Beef Broth is a different carton at 75mg a cup — grab the one that says Stock. Regular beef broth runs 800mg+ a cup.
Herb-Ox Sodium Free Granulated Bouillon (Beef and Chicken) — 0mg sodium per packet; potassium 380mg per packet (KCl-based). 8-packet boxes; grocery stores, Amazon, Walmart Marketplace.
CANNED SOUPS
Campbell's Unsalted Cream of Mushroom Soup — 50mg sodium per 1/2 cup condensed (potassium only 60mg). The regular can runs about 870mg a serving. Unsalted, not sodium-free.
Campbell's Unsalted Cream of Chicken Soup — 60mg sodium per 1/2 cup condensed (potassium 60mg). Regular is ~870mg a serving.
CONDIMENTS
Organicville No Salt Added Stone Ground Mustard — 0mg sodium per tsp. 12 oz squeeze bottle. Found on Amazon (Healthy Heart Market carries it too, $8.69). Buy the exact one: Organicville's regular Yellow mustard is 60mg a tsp and their Dijon is 115mg — only the No Salt Added Stone Ground is zero.
Mendocino Hot & Sweet Mustard — 0mg sodium per tsp. 9 oz jar. The sweet-heat one — sugar is the first ingredient, so it tastes like a sweet mustard with a little kick, and it has wheat flour in it, so it isn't gluten-free. I get mine at Safeway (Whole Foods and Amazon carry it too). My friend Michelle found this one for me.
Boar's Head 54% Lower Sodium Yellow Mustard — 25mg sodium per tsp (their regular yellow is 55mg). 9 oz squeeze bottle. Found on Amazon.
Silver Spring Dijon Mustard — 40mg sodium per tsp (Shauna's low-sodium Dijon swap; regular Dijon is about 115mg per tsp).
Lea & Perrins Reduced Sodium Worcestershire Sauce — 45mg sodium per tsp (original runs 65mg per tsp; Walmart carries it).

GRAINS, NOODLES & RICE

Ben's Original Coconut Jasmine Rice (pouch) — 5mg sodium per pouch. Walmart, Target, grocery stores.

WRAPPERS & BREADS
Twin Dragon Egg Roll Wrappers (JSL Foods) — 65mg sodium per wrapper. Local grocery stores. Their won ton wrappers are 55mg per 3 wrappers.
Bread is where sodium hides — ordinary sliced bread runs 120–200mg PER SLICE.
Food For Life Ezekiel 4:9 LOW SODIUM Sprouted Grain Bread — 0mg sodium per slice (sold frozen). Twin-bag warning: the REGULAR Ezekiel loaf is 75mg a slice — the bag must say Low Sodium. Grocery freezer aisles and Amazon. Shauna's honest verdict: she personally didn't care for the Ezekiel — the zero is real, but sprouted-grain dense is an acquired taste; her own bread machine still wins her kitchen.
King's Hawaiian Original Sweet Rolls — 75mg per roll. Also: King's Hawaiian Original Sweet Hamburger Buns — 120mg per bun.
Nature's Own small/thin slices — the Life 40-calorie line runs ~65mg per slice vs regular slices at 110–120mg.
Corn tortillas — ~10mg each vs flour tortillas — 150–330mg each. Three corn ≈ 30mg total; three flour ≈ 500mg+.
Taco Bell Crunchy Taco Shells (the PLAIN box) — 0mg sodium per 3 shells. Twin-box warning: the "Seasoned Flavor" boxes carry salt — Hot reads 110mg per 3 shells, Mild reads 210mg. The box must say Crunchy Taco Shells, plain.
Standing answer: homemade / bread-machine bread with the salt in your control beats everything on this list — store sourdough is NOT a safe default (it tends to run salty).
BAKING
Micro Ingredients Golden Monk Fruit Sweetener (with erythritol) — 0mg sodium, 0mg potassium per scoop. A 1:1 brown-sugar substitute for diabetic readers. 4 lb bag on Amazon.

DELI COUNTER
Boar's Head No Salt Added Turkey Breast — 55mg sodium per 2 oz. Regular deli turkey runs 400–600mg. Sliced fresh at the counter — Safeway is the only place around Shauna that stocks Boar's Head's no/low-sodium line. Small print: potassium 190mg and a phosphate ingredient.
Careful with the chicken: Boar's Head's roasted chicken breast is their Golden Classic "42% Lower Sodium" — 350mg per 2 oz. Lower than their regular chicken (440mg), but NOT a no-salt product — only the turkey wears the No Salt Added name.
